The workgroup that handles authority matters regarding children and youth aged 0-20 consists today of two senior social workers, two reception secretaries, and 14 social workers. The group is divided into two parts. One part primarily works with children aged 0-11 and their families, while the other primarily works with youth aged 12-20 and their families. We assist each other in both groups and often work together on cases. The section for authority matters concerning children and youth also includes the foster care group and two administrators.

We are a competent and experienced workgroup located in good premises in central Ljungby. Everyone has their own office.

We now want to expand the group with an additional investigative social worker, as several have reduced their working hours after parental leave.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker focused on children and youth, you will handle cases according to SoL, LVU, and LBSB. You will work with investigations and follow-ups of cases, both regarding open care contacts and institutional placements. The tasks are varied, and you have a great opportunity to influence and plan your own work.

In this position, you will have close collaboration with other parts of IFO and with external actors such as preschools/schools, police, and health care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent, preferably with prior experience in social services. If you have worked with authority matters concerning children and youth, that is an advantage. We work according to BBiC.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and good collaboration skills. We want you to promote a positive work climate and development within social services work. You should have an open and trust-building approach and be secure in your professional role. To thrive in the role of social worker with us, you need to be a person who is structured in your way of working, but you also need to be flexible and not afraid to think outside the box. We appreciate if you are social and have the ability to create trusting relationships.

It is a requirement that you express yourself well in speech and writing and that you have a B driver's license. It is an advantage if you are familiar with Signs of Safety.
